What is Direct Debit ?
Direct Debit is the ability to pay your phone bill automatically every
month, through your bank account. You won't have to stand in line or send
your cheque through the mail. Cable & Wireless will work with your
bank to do that for you.
Will I know when the money is deducted
from my account?
You will have at least 10 days advance notice of the bill amount and
date. You will always be informed in advance how much will be debited
to your account and the date of the transaction. The bill you will receive
will inform you of your balance, which you can check against your bank
statement.
Only the amount due to Cable & Wireless will be deducted from your
account.
Will I be charged for this service?
Direct Debit is free to Cable & Wireless customers. Cable &
Wireless will pay the bank charges.
What happens if I have a bill query?
Simply call our billing enquiries at 1-800-119 and the amount queried
will be investigated thoroughly and if necessary adjusted on the next
bill.
Can I stop Direct Debit if I want to?
Yes. You can cancel anytime. Simply write to your bank, sending a copy
to Cable & Wireless with the following instruction:
(1) The name(s) of the bank account holder(s).
(2) Your bank account number.
(3) Your telephone account number.
How can I get Direct Debit?
Complete a Direct Debit Authority form and bring it to any Cable &
Wireless office. Cable & Wireless will send the form to your bank,
keeping a copy for its records. Your phone bill will be sent to your as
usual and your bank will be informed of the amount due and deduct it from
your account.
