Can I access my Voice Mail messages while Roaming?
A: Yes. Retrieving Voice Mail messages while Roaming requires an international call to Dominica . Simply dial 1-767-275-0000 and follow the prompts as usual. You will be billed Roaming and toll charges for these calls.
Can I access the Cable & Wireless Customer Contact Center while Roaming?
A: Cable & Wireless has arranged for access through a toll-free number. Simply dial 1-800-804-2884. These calls will incur Roaming charges, but no toll or long distance charges.
Will I be able to use call features while Roaming?
A: The carrier's network you may be using may not offer all the features you get at home, so Caller ID, Call Waiting, Call Forwarding, Call Conferencing, Text Messaging, Message Waiting Indicator, GPRS data etc may not be available while Roaming.
How can I find out if Cable & Wireless offers Roaming to a particular country?
A: Cable & Wireless provides a list of all regions and countries. This information will be updated regularly and will be the most current coverage information available to Cable & Wireless customers. Please ensure you check this list before you travel.
Will I be able to send and receive text messages when I roam?
A: Yes. You should be able to send and receive text messages while Roaming in most locations.
Will my handset be able to roam in a country X?
A: This depends on the frequencies that your handset supports. Please check our Roaming coverage page for details on the frequency used by our Roaming partners.
Why does my handset not automatically detect a network while Roaming?
A: When Roaming in some countries your handset may not automatically detect a GSM network. To enable Roaming in this instance you must manually select a Cable & Wireless Roaming partner's network. For details on selecting a network please refer to your handset manual or contact customer service at 1 800 804 2994.
If I am not able to make/receive calls while Roaming – what could be the problem?
A: You must have credit needs on your prepaid account in order to receive or make calls while Roaming. Prepaid Roaming is not available for TDMA Pay-As-You-Go Prepaid customers.
If I forgot to get extra cards and I am Roaming – is there any other way to get credit added to my account so that I can make/receive calls while overseas?
A: Yes, someone back home in Dominica can add credit to your account for you by (a) paying for the credit using Debisys Top Up or ATM Top Up or (b) purchasing a card for you – they can text you or call on a different number (eg: hotel number) and give you with the PIN number for you to enter as normal on your mobile.
If a call goes to my Voice Mail, will I be charged for the call if I am Roaming?
A: Yes. You will be charged for incoming calls even if the call goes to Voice Mail.
While in Dominica , I am billed per second for call charges, is it the same while Roaming?
A: No, while Roaming the call is charged per minute and not per second.
Can I buy a prepaid bFree card in the country that I am Roaming (eg: Jamaica ) and use it to get the credit on my Dominican prepaid service while Roaming?
A: No, the bFree cards and/or Top Up service are specific to each country. It is suggested that you get additional bFree cards or add Top Up credit before going overseas.
