Global Text Messaging

Dialing patterns for international SMS from carrier to carrier follow the same rules as voice dialing patterns.

The general format is:

International access code (011) - country code (44) - number (12345679)

To text the UK you can use 011 44 707 199935 format as well as for voice. As the international access code can vary country to country and is not always 011 this can always be substituted with the plus symbol (+) in any country, while at home or roaming. So that 011 44 707 199935 becomes + 44 707 199935 this is both a valid voice and text dialing pattern.

Examples:

Texting the US +1 215 453 9191 (+ = access code, 1 = country code for WZ 1)

Texting the UK +44 707 199935 (+ = access code, 44 = country code for UK )

Texting France +33 404 1234565 (+= access code, 33 = country code for France )

Texting Competitor in Island +1 345 451 9191 (+ = access code, 1 = country code for WZ1, 345= area code Cayman)

Local & Regional Texting

For local texts, use the format international access code - country code - number like international texting or you can use the 10-digit format without +1. To send to another C&W island use either of the two formats as above.

Examples:

Sending to a local customer number +1 767 322 1919 - 11-digit or 767 322 1919 – 10-digit.

Sending to a customer on another island

To Cayman: +1 345 925 1919 or 345 925 1919

To Barbados : +1 246 253 1919 or 246 253 1919

To Reply to a customer, just hit the reply button and the format will be in the standard +1 format that it was received in e.g. +1 876 322 1919
