Dear Valued Customers
It is indeed an honour to address you through this medium in my new role
as Chief Executive for Cable & Wireless Dominica. This is a tremendous
opportunity; I hold strongly to the view that Caribbean men and women
are aptly skilled to lead and sustain prominent Caribbean organizations.
I believe that the success of Cable & Wireless is dependent on the
ability of the Cable & Wireless team to harness the qualities of commitment,
dedication and focus to take Cable & Wireless, its shareholders, customers
and publics to a new plateau of satisfaction, success and achievement.
Commitment from the committed contributes to advancement, growth and sustainability.
A committed leader with a loyal and supportive team will transform any
organization into a highly successful entity.
I have observed that the most successful teams, whether in the field
of battle, sport, learning or business possess the attributes that equate
to giving oneself alongside others in the interest of mutual development.
The fabric of Cable & Wireless comprises men and women dedicated to
development. That is why Cable & Wireless has maintained a pristine
reputation for the delivery of excellence, quality and efficiency.
You can be assured that the Cable & Wireless team will continue to
serve you well, providing you with a choice portfolio of first class,
advanced voice, data and mobile services and contributing to the overall
quality of life of our people.
The last twenty-two years of my life were devoted to self-development,
the advancement of my career, and by extension Cable & Wireless and
the communities we serve. Much of that time was spent in Marketing and
Customer Relations including the attainment of Marketing Manager with
Cable & Wireless USA. I also worked in the region as Area Customer
Services Manager as well as Head of Customer Services in Antigua. I am
an MBA alumnus of the Zicklin School of Business, Baruch College, City
University of New York. More recently, I held the position of Acting Chief
Executive for the Cable & Wireless St Kitts & Nevis business.
As the new Chief Executive for Dominica my first order of business includes
maintaining the financial viability of the Company by controlling costs,
growing revenues and doing the things that we have done even better to
keep the business sustainable. Other priorities involve meeting and exceeding
customer demands, the constant improvement of the image of Cable &
Wireless and a concentration on people development. Focus on the growing
mobile industry is also a key priority; in the coming months we will see
coverage extended to the areas of Belles, Petite Soufriere and Cottage
among others.
I am happy to be taking on the responsibility for Cable & Wireless
Dominica. I look forward to working with the team that has contributed
to the actualization of this successful organization that I will be privileged
to lead henceforth. Cable & Wireless will remain Dominica’s communications
provider of choice.
